ABOUT ME

I’m an artist, writer, and performer from Hastings, a seaside town in the south of England.

My most recent books are We The Wild Ones for older children and adults and Carried Away with the Carnival for younger children.

I love connecting with people during my performances and workshops, which mix music, poetry, stories with inspiring creative activities.

I also run ‘Out of the Shadows’. I like to think it’s the kindest open mic in the world. It’s all about respectful listening and mutual support. Adults and children are both welcome.

My career began with illustration and it is still at the heart of my work. I illustrate all my own books and love to illustrate for authors such as Brian Moses, James Carter and Roger Stevens.

I studied printmaking at college and make handmade prints with traditional techniques such as lino printing and woodcutting. Please visit my print shop to have a look at my prints. Lots of the designs are available as Greetings Cards too.
