Fearsome allotment bird scarers

A day of making ( a couple of weeks ago) creatures to scare birds down the allotment. The children spent a lot of time rescuing the caterpillars that are eating the cabbages while Betty and George the wood pigeons ignored everyone’s efforts to scare them.
2 sad, slug eaten, nearly dead pumpkin plants somehow turned into this cavernous abundant compost heap jungle. And a gnarly old blackberry root.
