I wrote the poem The Library Glow a while ago to celebrate my local library, which was recently closed down.
I also wanted to write about the melancholy loveliness of an ordinary, rainy, grey evening in Ore Village.

This is so beautiful. I got the chills, recognizing an intangible glow that can be held and is often conveyed by books and poems like this one. What is the age range for this poem- if I read it to 6 up would they be interested or do they need to be older? Thank you.
Thank you so much. I think it’s fine for 6 year olds…there might be a few questions and confusion about it, but I think that’s a good thing! It is quite long though…you could read it in the four 3 verse sections and stop to chat about it after each section. This breaks it up nicely for short attention spans.
